German : adverbial conjunctions

Adverbial conjunctions are ADVERBS performing the function of connecting clauses together.

When they introduce a clause, the ORDER of subject and verb is INVERTED ( 倒轉).

eg.,

Er ist zu spät; außerdem (besides ) bin ich müde.

The common adverbial conjunctions are : 16

1. also (so, therefore )
2. auch ( also, in addition)
3. außerdem (besides )
4. daher, darum ( therefore)
6. dann (then )

7. dennoch ( nevertheless, yet )
8. deshalb, deswegen ( for that reason )
10. inzwischen ( meanwhile )
11. jedoch ( however )
12. kaum ( scarely )
13. so ( so)

14. sonst ( otherwise)
15. trotzdem ( nevertheless )
16. übrigens ( afterall, by the way )
