1. In calculus, the slope of a curve AT any point is equal tothe derivative of the mathematical function that defines the curve.

2. The use of calculus to find optimal values for values is often referred to as classical optimization.

3. The clope of a curve at its highest point equals zero.

4. usual steps : The solution is found by taking the derivative of the profit function ( 先d 佢 . . . ), setting it equal to zero 0, and solving for p ( price).

5. But, the difficulty with nonlinear programming is that the solution os NOT always on the boundry of the feasible solution space formed by the constriant.

6. Therefore, we CANNOT simply look at the points on the solution space boundary to find the solution.
