German : the past participle as an adjective
香港人今天需要 A leap of faith 信念一躍.

If the purpose is purely descriptive, then the "verb to be " is used.

eg.,

1. Ich bin überrascht. ( überraschen, to surprise)

2. ich bin enttaüscht. (enttaüschen, to disappoint )
