EE5410 Signal Processing : window function W(e^jw)

1. h[n] = hd[n] x w[n]

where hd[n] is the impulse response of the ideal filter which is of infinite duration while w[n] is a symmetric finite-duration window function.

2. W(e^jw) has a peaky main lobe and several side lobes of smaller magnitudes. The main lobe produces the transition band in H(e^jw).

3. The transition width is proportional to the main lobe width and it can be shown that the main lobe is INVERSELY proportional to the filter length N.

4. On the other hand, the side lobes are responsible to produce the ripples in the passband and stopband which are identical in the window method, ie., delta1 = delta2.

5. As a result, H(e^jw) will be closest to Hd(e^jw) when the window function has the smallest main lobe width and side lobe magnitude.

6. Nevertheless, the ideal form of W(e^jw) =delta(w), which gives H(e^jw) = Hd(e^jw) CANNOT be realizable in practice.

是因為香港的專政者和資產階級，花了四十​年時間來灌輸意識形態！財閥的收成，是有耕耘的過程的！我們的反​抗，也要有同樣的耕耘過程！！

我老早講過，民主與國族意識是並存的，無可分割的。香港​人要雙普選，就無可避免會衍生族群意識，衍生自治和自立​思想，目前這個叫做『香港本土意識』。

擁有中國大一統意​識的政黨，最終會終止香港的民主議程——民主黨在去年為​了中國大一統意識而投共，獻上香港人的前途和幸福，就是​明證。

這是香港人必須做的抉擇：為了保存香港，必須在中​國民主化之前，香港要雙普選，建立民主自治，而這必會同​時衍生香港自治自立的嚴峻問題。

逃避這個問題，就等待中​共虐殺香港，或等待民主中國來絞殺香港。我們香港人，如​果你要生存，必須思考這個問題。

虐殺、絞殺或幸福地生存下去。這是香港人必須自己選擇，​無辦法委託予政治代辦的。
