一九七六年，有了電視製作之後，英文改為 RTHK（ Radio Television ），中文依然是「 香港電台」，是粵音聲韻的堅持，只有香港人明白。

北方官話混雜胡音，再遭受政治之規定而簡化，脫落大量音韻，與漢字可謂音義離散，不利語文傳承。

很簡單的，粵語讀的「 合」（hap6）字，真的是合口而緊閉的，音義相合。普通話的合（hé），就張開了口，想合也合不來。

粵語說的 荊棘（ging1 gik1）滿途，短而刺耳，聽了就知是滿途荊棘。普通話說的荊棘（jīng jí）滿途，憑聽覺，輕輕浮浮的，還以為走上了鵝絨鋪的榮華路。

粵語講「 含蓄」（ham4 cuk1）兩字，前者是合口音，後者是入聲。粵人說含蓄，含真是合口的含住了，蓄是真的緊密的蓄住了。

普通話讀含蓄（hán xù），含不了，也蓄不住。講含蓄而不得含蓄之聲的方言族群，要知含蓄為何物，難矣。

北人用普通話學中文，引致音義離散，文化也隨之失落。

北人是無可奈何，隨他去了，廣東人、香港人也用普通話學中文，就是犯賤了。
