EE4206/EE5806 Digital Image processing : Spatial convolution steps
1. mirroring h about the origin ( ie., rotating it by 180 degrees )
2. translating the mirrored function by an amount x and
3. for each value x of translation, computing the entire sum of products in the right side of the preceding equation
4. This means multiplying f(m) by h( x-m ) for EACH value of x. The displacement x ranges over all values required to completely slide h avross f.
5. convolution is a function of the displacement variable, x, and that the range of x required in this example to completely slide h past f is from 0 to 799.
