Hegel 's Clock ( Reason in History, page 87-90 )

1. The very essence of spirit is ACTION. It makes itself what it essentially IS; it is its OWN product, its OWN work. Thus it becomes object of itself, thus it is presented to itself as an external existence.

2. Even though his imagination may have gone further, it has abandoned more far-reaching purposes; if reality did not fit them, he fits the purpose to reality. ( it turns to das Man )

3. It is this life of HABIT-- the watch is wound up and goes by itself -- which brings about natural death. ( Hegel's clock )

4. Habit is tensionless activity. Only formal duration is left to it, in which plenitude and depth of purpose need NO LONGER to be heard.

Existence has become, so to speak, external, sensuous; it is not absorbed any more in its purpose.

早年曾創立了亞信公司,有「中國資訊化第一人」之稱的 田朔寧,曾和 馬雲去見了一次蘋果創辦人喬布斯( Steve Jobs)。

田朔寧建議沒去過中國的喬布斯去看看,喬布斯卻對他說:「 我沒有去過中國,也不打算去。」接着,喬布斯說了一句:「 你們中國人沒有辦法寫出真正的大型軟體。」田朔寧感到談話不是很愉快。

當很多企業都爭相前往中國膜拜的時候,喬布斯卻展現不一樣的思維,讓人見識了他與眾不同之處,難怪他能設計出風靡全球的商品來。

在美國有很多外國青年學子就讀電腦科系,像微軟、蘋果等這些大公司,都僱用不少外國人,包括中國人,所以企業老闆很清楚這一行頂尖人才多會在哪裏。美國有半數以上的財星五百大企業,都把程式設計外包到印度。

中國不僅在寫軟體上屈居下風,上海世博開幕時,大陸網民就一針見血地寫道:「 我們不要做經濟的巨人、政治的侏儒、科技的侏儒!不要做山寨大國!」

所以儘管中國外滙儲備佔全球近三成連續四年居首,但內地山寨文化氾濫,就難以獲得別人尊重。

英國政經學者 Will Hutton在《 The Writing on the Wall》一書寫道:「 在整個改革時期,中國本土的企業大多以低工資為基礎進行競爭、剽竊科技、不顧環境成本。」

日本企業與韓國企業都走過「 模仿」的道路,但他們在模仿之中有創新,致力於提高產品的品質和功能,因此就能自創品牌。

可是中國企業只注重業務的擴張而不是品牌的發展,以便有利於短期收到利益效果,這樣恐怕很難擺脫「 低價中國」與「 山寨文化」的標籤。
