在我看來，香港一直在生活中實踐作家 傑克•倫敦 (Jack London )的 信條：
“寧化飛灰，不作浮塵。
“寧投熊熊烈火，光盡而滅；
“不伴寂寂朽木，默然同腐。
“寧為耀目流星，迸發萬丈光芒；
“不羨永恒星體，悠悠沉睡終古。”
97. 前路不管有何挑戰，都不會，我重複，都不會使這顆流星飛墜，光華從此消逝。我深願香港能奮然而起，征服未來，那時候，歷史也必為之動容，起立喝采。
Hong Kong, it seems to me, has always lived by the author, Jack LONDON's credo:
"I would rather be ashes than dust,
I would rather my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze,
Than it should be stifled in dry rot.

1. [德文是：Eigentlichkeit，源自eigen這個詞。Eigen的意思是：“自己的”；從字面上講就是“我自己”、“屬于我的東西”]“畏懼 ”是來自我們的自由感的一種感覺，它向我們透露出, 每個人惟一地是他本身 或她本身，而不是任何别的什麽。
2. 按照海德格爾的看法，我們中的每一個人都有一種自己的 有待實現的潜能，并不得不面對自己的死亡。
3. 作為海德格爾講的“緣在”（dasein）， 如果它（他或她）在面對這麽一個孤獨局面時采取决斷的態度，并且敢于承擔自己的惟一性和 個體性，那麽此人就可説是進入了 真正切已的 (authentic) 生存狀態，并意識到這個 局面的含義。真正切已狀態連通着未來和過去，使自我具有連續性。它還要求緣在接受它自己的死亡。
4. 為此，海德格爾認為，當人與自己的死亡遭遇時，真實的切已 自我才顯露出來。在真正切已狀態中，“我”總是居先的，盡管這個“我”并不是一個主體。如果一個人被畏懼壓倒，通過没入衆人或匿名的“人們”[They， das Man]來保護自己，正如人們通常所做的那様，他就進入了 "不真正切已的"（inauthentic）生存狀態。
5. 在 "不真正切已的狀態" (inauthenticity ) 中，“人們”(They) 居先，人失去了自己的生存。
6. 這種態度或 姿態就是 海德格爾所説的 緣在的“沉淪”[fallingness，Verfallen]，即緣在避開自身，讓自身浸没于日常的 分心事務中，與俗世共浮沉。

1. The histogram of a digital image with intensity levels in the range [0,L-1] is a discrete function h(rk) = nk, where rk is the k-th intensity value and nk is the number of pixels in the image with intensity rk.
2. It is common practice to normalize a histogram by dividing each of its components by the total number of pixels in the image, denoted by the product MN, where, as usual, M and N are the row and column dimensions of the image.
3. Thus, a normalized histogram is given by p(rk) = nk/MN, for k = 0,1,2,...L-1.
4. Loosely speaking, p(rk) is an estimate of the probability of occurrence of intensity level rk in an image. The sum of all components of a normalized histogram is equal to 1.
